The Challenge: A Grand House With A Tired Garden

After moving into their new home and initially focusing on the interior of the property, the clients then set their sights on wanting to transform their outdoor space. The garden was full of beautiful established plants with amazing climbers growing up the sides of the old stone facades.

However, The hard landscaping was looking old, aspects of the planting were looking tired and overgrown, but overall, the garden just didn’t have that ‘Outdoor Living’ factor the clients desired.

Our Solution

Our clients wanted a garden where they could enjoy the space all year round. A space that allow them to escape from the everyday but to also be able to entertain with friends and family.

Having a young boy, creating a space for him to play, explore and learn were extremely important. Football was a massive part of the clients life so creating a space using artificial lawn to play was at the top of their priority list.

Creating a new vibrant planting scheme full of colour and scent was important whilst still keeping mature specimens in the borders to help make the borders look more established than they are.

The clients wanted us to create a bespoke intimate seating area using natural stone with contemporary timber screens to produce a beautiful outdoor fire feature space.

The End Result

This garden is really the definition of Outdoor Living!

With a superb bi-folding pergola housing an outdoor tv, lounge and outdoor heater, this is truly a great place to enjoy the comforts of indoor living, outside.

Directly adjacent to the main house living room, is a stunning bespoke stone outdoor fire seating area, with a built-in wall gas fire and a wood burning fire pit in the centre, which ensures that the clients can truly enjoy all aspects of their garden and entertain friends and family whatever the weather.

A light porcelain really brightens the area, allowing the planting borders to really pop. This garden transformation was a truly exciting project for us to be apart of. We love working closely with our clients to build them exactly what they want.
